International Development Missions (IDM) was established by a small group of people who all had a heart to help. The first completed mission was the Mua Hills Medical Clinic which opened in 2004. IDM coordinated the planning and construction of the clinic cooperatively with Mua residents who created a local governing board to administer the clinic operation. IDM provided construction funds and financial assistance for the clinic operation until it became self-sufficient in 2015. The clinic provides much needed health care access to the greater Mua rural community of approximately 15,000 residents. IDM has also constructed a learning center adjacent to the clinic that will soon house a library and provide schools and locals access to computers, books, and other educational resources. Another IDM focus is the provision of simple low-cost solutions for community members to access clean water.
